Acupuncture points are the locations which focus acupuncture, acupressure, sonopuncture and laser acupuncture treatments.
There are several acupuncture points which are distributed along meridians (these are the connected points which effect specific organs).
There are many acupuncture points associated with each meridian.
Acupuncture points are mapped to fourteen major meridians.
One meridian is present at one of the twelve internal organs and in remaining two, one is present along spine and another is present along midline of abdomen.
Recently many extra points are determined in different parts of body such as nose, ears, scalp, hands wrist, feet and ankles.
The different acupuncture points present in different meridians are as follows:
Acupuncture point present in large intestine meridian:
The point present in large intestine meridian point is present between thumb and first finger on the back side of hand. This acupuncture point is used in the treatment of feverish diseases and inflammatory diseases and if you have symptoms in throat and head.
Large intestine meridian passes through head and hand. This acupuncture point is used for determining upper body disorders.
Upper body disorders include sore throat, eye pain, rashes and difficulty in moving arms. This acupuncture point also determines intestinal disorders such as diarrhea and intestinal cramping.
Acupuncture point present in lung meridian:
The point present in lung meridian is present inside the arm that is above wrist. This point is used for determining upper body disorders such as head ache, neck stiffness, asthma [Asthma Treatment], cough, sore throat, facial paralysis and problems in wrist.
Acupuncture point present in Stomach meridian:
The point present in stomach meridian is located in front of leg that is just below knee. This point is used for determining stomach disorders such as nausea, vomiting, gostrolgia and abdominal distension. This is also used for determining general weakness.
Acupuncture point present in stomach meridian also demonstrates positive effects in treating anemia [More Info on Anemia], immune deficiency, fatigue and many other diseases.
Acupuncture point in Spleen meridian:
This point is present just above the ankle at the inner side of the leg. These points are used for treating hormonal disorders and immune disorders.
Acupuncture point present in gall bladder meridian:
This point is present at the base of skull where it joins the neck back side. This point is used in treating mild disorders such as cold, influenza, neck pain and fever. It is also used for lowering blood pressures and relaxes tension.
