Rhodiola Rosea – A Herb Found To Increase Human Lifespan

According to the recent research conducted by University of California, the herbal extracts of yellow-flowered mountain plant can increase the lifespan of fruit fly populations.

Rhodiola rosea is a herb used for stress-relief. But the research does not provide clinical evidence that Rhodiola can extend human life. Researchers found that it can extend the lifespan of a model organism.

Rhodiola rosea is also known as the ”golden root”. This herb grows in cold climates at high altitudes and it can be used as “anti-stress reliever”. This herb has anti-oxidative properties.

Patients who take the extract of Rhodiola rosea called SHR-5 with mild-to-moderate depression can experience fewer symptoms of depression than the people who received a placebo.
