Not Feeling Well? Try A Juice Fast

If you have the self-discipline, try a juice fast. Juice fasts require that you fast from food while drinking organic juices.

In order to get the maximum effect from a juice cleanse, you must plan out your all-juice meals. This fast is one heck of a commitment, so be prepared.

There are many fruits and vegetables that are great for detox. Though these tasty drinks might be tempting, they are the easy way out and aren’t the greatest for cleaning your body.

Still, they help. One recipe calls for 1 red apple, 1 medium size carrot, 5 slices of cucumber, 1 stalk of celery, 1 glass of cold water, and 1 tablespoon of honey.

Fruit Juice Fast

Using certain fruit juices, such as lemons and limes, you can cleanse your body for 10 to 40 days without any nutrient deficiency.

One recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of lemon/lime juice, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, a tiny bit of cayenne pepper, and 10 to 14 ounces of pure water.

You must drink this every 1 to 2 hours and eat nothing. When you get off the fast, make sure that you gradually reintroduce food within the course of five days.

Drink orange juice the first day, eat vegetable broth and a few light vegetables the second day, more soup the third day, salad and vegetables the fourth day, and eat normally on the fifth day.

What makes juice cleanses so great is that they allow your body to clean itself of toxins while providing the nutrients that your body needs. To get the maximum effect from these fruit juices, you should squeeze the fruits yourself.

Fruit juices that come out of a carton or a can have been heated to kill germs, but this heating process also kills natural enzymes. Instead, you should buy yourself a juicer and juice your fruits every day.

You can blend the hundreds of different kinds of fruits in a blender, adding bananas to reduce potential bitterness caused by other fruits. Make sure to also mix in sweet fruits and ice to create delicious cool and refreshing drinks during the summer.

Many fruits have the sweetness of refined sugar and the jolt of caffeine without having the harmful side effects of any of those products. Instead, fruits provide real energy by promoting the physiological function of your metabolic system.

What do you think your body really wants? Stimulants that trick your body into thinking that it has energy, or nutrients that your body can use to maximize your level of energy.

Fruits not only provide real energy, but they are the easiest foods in the world to digest. Therefore, your body is not working as hard to digest your food, which saves on even more energy.
